I wanted to make a sports-themed lamp. I was torn between my favorite two sports, baseball and basketball. I pored over a thousand images on stock.adobe.com for inspiration, and knew it would be a basketball lamp when I saw this graphic:

It was time to head to MADE in St Louis. The final product turned out beautifully!
Below is a short step-by-step of the making of my Buzzer Beater Lamp. If you are interested in buying one of my Buzzer Beater Lamps, you can find them on LitLamps.art.
I purchased this image from stock.adobe.com.
I spent 20 hours in Adobe Illustrator editing the graphic for my needs. On the left at the bottom you can see my base idea was a basketball court
using a free throw area. On the right are my thoughts for the LEDs.First stage of painting is the top of the rim. Paint has been applied. I use acrylic paint with GAC200 as a hardener This is the 3rd panel which is the back side of the rim, net and some shadow. The floor pattern is just a bunch of irregular rectangles. This is etching birch. New lamps will have a cherry plywood floor. So beautiful. Painting the free throw line on the base Working on installing the base Stacking the acrylic. Used a 2650 Mega for this because of the price to memory ratio.
Pins A0 for dimmer, D8 for scene switching, D10 for lower lights and D11 for upper lights. The wire track for the leds, power button and the fader that allows you to dim.
And the finished product:
I love designing and building these lamps, but it’s time to try and sell them. If you know anyone who would be interested in buying one, please let me know or send them to my website: www.LitLamps.art.
